Ghazal no.38

1.
لبِ خشک در تشنگی مردگاں کا
زیارت کدہ ہوں دل آزردگاں کا

ہمہ نا امیدی ہمہ بد گمانی
میں دل ہوں فریبِ وفا خوردگاں کا

लब-ए ख़ुशक दर-तिशनगी-मुरदगां का
ज़ियारत-कदह हूं दिल-आज़ुरदगां का

हमह ना-उमीदी हमह बद-गुमानी
मैं दिल हूं फ़रेब-ए वफ़ा-ख़वुरदगां का

ziyaarat-kadah huu;N dil-aazurdagaa;N kaa

hamah naa-umiidii hamah bad-gumaanii

Translation


1.
Dry lips of persons died of thirst,
I am the shrine of depressed-mind ones.
2.
Entire hopelessness,entire misunderstandings,
I am the heart of those who are deceived of loyalty.
