Ghazal no.39

1.
تو دوست کسی کا بھی ستمگر نہ ہوا تھا
اوروں پہ ہے وہ ظلم کہ مجھ پر نہ ہوا تھا
2.
چھوڑا مۂ نخشب کی طرح دستِ قضا نے
خورشید ہنوز اس کے برابر نہ ہوا تھا
3.
توفیق بہ اندازۂ ہمّت ہے ازل سے
آنکھوں میں ہے وہ قطرہ جو گوہر نہ ہوا تھا
4.
جب تک کہ نہ دیکھا تھا قدِ یار کا عالم
میں معتقدِ فتنۂ محشر نہ ہوا تھا
5.
میں سادہ دل آزردگیِ یار سے خوش ہوں
یعنی سبقِ شوق مکرّر نہ ہوا تھا
6.
دریاۓ معاصی تنک آبی سے ہوا خشک
میرا سرِ دامن بھی ابھی تر نہ ہوا تھا
7.
جاری تھی اسد داغِ جگر سے مری تحصیل
آتش کدہ جاگیرِ سمندر نہ ہوا تھا

तू दोसत किसी का भी सितमगर न हुआ था
औरों पह है वह ज़ुलम कि मुझ पर न हुआ था
2.
छोड़ा मह-ए नख़शब की तरह दसत-ए क़ज़ा ने
ख़वुरशीद हनूज़ उस के बराबर न हुआ था
3.
तौफ़ीक़ ब अनदाज़ह-ए हिममत है अज़ल से
आंखों में है वह क़तरह जो गौहर न हुआ था
4.
जब तक कि न देखा था क़द-ए यार का `आलम
मैं मु`तक़िद-ए फ़ितनह-ए महशर न हुआ था
5.
मैं सादह-दिल आज़ुरदगी-ए यार से ख़वुश हूं
य`नी सबक़-ए शौक़ मुकररर न हुआ था
6.
दरया-ए म`आसी तुनुक-आबी से हुआ ख़ुशक
मेरा सर-ए दामन भी अभी तर न हुआ था
7.
जारी थी असद दाग़-ए जिगर से मिरी तहसील
आतिश-कदह जागीर-ए समनदर न हुआ था

chho;Raa mah-e na;xshab kii :tara;h dast-e qa.zaa ne
;xvurshiid hanuuz us ke baraabar nah hu))aa thaa
3.
taufiiq bah andaazah-e himmat hai azal se
aa;Nkho;N me;N hai vuh qa:trah jo gauhar nah hu))aa thaa
4.
jab tak kih nah dekhaa thaa qad-e yaar kaa ((aalam
mai;N mu((taqid-e fitnah-e ma;hshar nah hu))aa thaa
5.
mai;N saadah-dil aazurdagii-e yaar se ;xvush huu;N
ya((nii sabaq-e shauq mukarrar nah hu))aa thaa
6.
daryaa-e ma((aa.sii tunuk-aabii se hu))aa ;xushk
meraa sar-e daaman bhii abhii tar nah hu))aa thaa
7.
jaarii thii asad daa;G-e jigar se mirii ta;h.siil
aatish-kadah jaagiir-e samandar nah hu))aa thaa

Translation

1.
You never became oppressor, the friend of even anyone,
The tyranny on others, which on me never happened.
2.
The hand of fate released it like the moon of Nakhshab,
The sun until now not become equal to that one.
(Nakhshab is a place in Turkistan. Where one scientist manufactured a moon.Which used to rise and set through a well. Which burned itself after some time.)
3.
Divine power is according to courage from time immemorial,
In the eyes, that droplet, that never become a pearl.
4.
As long as I had not seen the state of the height of the beloved,
I had not become the follower of the revolt of doomsday.
5.
I pure-hearted, am pleased with the distress of beloved,
The lesson of hobby had not been repeated.
6.
The sea of sins, from shortage of water, became dry,
Even my corner of cloak had not yet become wet.
7.
My income had continued,"Asad", from the blemish of soul,
The fire temple had not become the treasure of Salamander.
(One imaginary insect living in fire.)
