Ghazal no.64

1.
صفائے حیرتِ آئینہ ہے سامانِ زنگ آخر
تغیّر آبِ بر جا ماندہ کا پاتا ہے رنگ آخر
2.
نہ کی سامانِ عیش و جاہ نے تدبیر وحشت کی
ہوا جامِ زمرّد بھی مجھے داغِ پلنگ آخر

सफ़ा-ए हैरत-ए आईना है सामान-ए ज़ंग आख़िर
तग़य्युर आब-ए बर-जा-मांदा का पाता है रंग आख़िर
2.
न की सामान-ए ऐश‐ओ‐जाह ने तदबीर वहशत की
हुआ जाम-ए ज़ुमुर्रुद भी मुझे दाग़-ए पलंग आख़िर

.safaa-e ;hairat-e aa))iinah hai saamaan-e zang aa;xir
ta;Gayyur aab-e bar-jaa-maa;Ndah kaa paataa hai rang aa;xir
2.
nah kii saamaan-e ((aish-o-jaah ne tadbiir va;hshat kii
hu))aa jaam-e zumurrud bhii mujhe daa;G-e palang aa;xir

Translation

1.

The clearness of the amazement of the mirror is the material of verdigris, at last,

The transformation of luster acquires colour at last.

(Stability of mirror) (Belongings of impurity)

2.

The item of luxury and dignity, did not provide a remedy of savage attitude,

Even the goblet made of green emerald, to me, spots of the leopard's skin, at last.

(Power) (I am scared of luxury and power as of cruel animals)
